I have a Suzuki SV650S, 2002 model, a parallel import that has recently been fitted with Datatool Alarm/Immobilizer System 3 and since installation I’ve been unable to start the bike.
I though perhaps the battery was not up to scratch, as I’d let the bike sit for almost a week after having the alarm installed. I removed the battery after putting the bike in service mode and fitted a brand new Yuasa battery, fully charged by the motorcycle shop, but the bike still won’t start.
The light’s on, gear’s in neutral, side stand’s off: I press the starter button, I can hear the wirring sound of the starter motor, but it’s as if the cylinders don’t fire. I’ve tried start pushing the bike, but it doens’t make any difference.
I’ve already checked the Datatool website for any info on this problem, but without success.
Any idea what else to check?

I’m going to buy a new motorcycle in the near future. If you own a Victory or know of someone who does have thay had any problems and how was the warrantee honored?

While accelarating through the gears I have been getting some sputtering at the top end of second gear and third gear. This usually will go away after the bike is really warmed up. What are some possible causes of this? I recently replaced the plugs and it still happens. I have a kurykayn hyper charger and a carburated engine. Python III pipes. Any help is appreciated.

about to purchase a bike but dont know how and where to park it. do i just shove it between 2 cars and call it a day? do i park near the corners away from any other vehicles?

i just bought my bike it’s a 99 gsxr 600 and i was riding it for the first time and the bike wouldn’t accelerate and died down now if i let it sit for a while i can go about two blocks if that in first gear at about 5mph and it makes a clunking noise then again it stops moving and i can’t go anywhere. perhaps a clutch problem? idk any ideas???

My friend has a 250cc off road scrambler, and it has some problems starting. The bike works but it needs to warm up a bit to start moving first, but when it gets too warm it also dies… No one really knows what the problem is, but they suspect it’s the valve shimming or something like that… Can someone give me any info on possible problems and solutions?

ride it, can I make him fix it or take it back, or am I just out of luck.

I’m wanting to buy one in about five months and I just need to know their reliability rating and trouble areas.

I have a 98 Honda Shadow Motorcycle 600 – headlight wont come on and starter button wont start the bike. It will push start though. All other lights work. Runs fine if push started. Battery fine, fuses are fine, Cant figure out why headlight wont come on and the starter button wont work. Can someone please give me more ideas??? Already checked wires in kill switch housing….

I rode this motorcycle for 160 miles this past Saturday (2 days ago) and it ran like a top! Now, after leaving it out in the rain overnight, it doesn’t run for crap. It runs somewhat good at mid-high RPM’s, but won’t idle at all. I started it with the choke (like usual) with no problems. I just now rode it for 6 miles, and it didn’t clear up (figuring maybe it was moisture) and it backfires like crazy out the exhaust AND carb… it’s a 1980 Yamaha SR250. Any ideas????? I’m baffled at this one…
I drove it back from where I was just now, and it ran much better with the choke half-on… it still back-fired thru the carb though, and idled way high… prob from the choke… but it still ran like crap when i took the choke off…
Keep in mind, 2 days ago it ran great for 160 miles…
