I don’t know if it’s true in all states, but in some states, you can get a ticket for riding in a car – even a big, beefy SUV – without a seatbelt. Yet, a person can be riding right next to you on a motorcycle – totally unprotected from injury – even without a helmet in some states. And they are perfectly legal. What’s up with that?
I didn’t mean to imply that motorcycles should have seat belts! But basically, if the gov’t is so concerned with my safety that I have to buckle up in my beefy SUV, why are motorcycles legal AT ALL? There’s no way a bike – regardless of equipment – could be as safe as riding in a car, with or without a seatbelt, right?

Especially when you’re getting a ride on a motorcycle and you’re holding on to the drivers waist for dear life. Wouldn’t it be easier if it came with a seat belt?

Gas prices are just (UGH!) I am not the best driver out there as is. I was thinking of buying a scooter since they are cheap and fuel efficient. Would they be safer than a motorcycle?

What is the official law about using headphones while operating a motorcycle in Ontario. I know they vary from state to state in the US, some seem to allow it, some allow one earphone (or so i’m told) but i’m not sure about Canada/Ontario.
